Writing for Humans and Search Engines

Not a tradeoff
The idea that writing for search engines means writing badly is out of date. Clear structure and plain language serve both audiences.
Use descriptive headings, short paragraphs, and links that name their destination. Internal linking basics apply just as much inside a single article as across a site.
Avoid keyword stuffing entirely. Modern ranking systems handle synonyms and context well, and repetition reads badly to the humans you actually want.
When you link out, do it deliberately. The link audit playbook covers how to keep those outbound links healthy over time.
